David
Phillips has a special talent for residencies and is
particularly effective working with young people. In a single season
he may perform over fifty residency programs in conjunction with
orchestra engagements and recitals. He has an extraordinary way
of inspiring, motivating and delighting those that experience his
presentations!
A
residency allows students and the artist to develop a mutual understanding
of each other. Its purposes are to strengthen the interest of the
student in music and to develop audiences for classical recitals as
well as to broaden the interest in music as it applies to different
audiences and different areas. Below are some possible activities
for a residency with David Phillips. The number of activities will
depend upon the length of the residency.
